House hunters, bucket showers, ocean baptisms, parties, and crepes!!
This week was so fun and awesome and busy and crazy and chances are, it'll be like that the rest of the transfer. Rip to full study days but I am having the time of my life!!!
We got to go to 2 baptisms on Saturday!! Because our area is so small and we don't have a full chapel, they had the baptisms in these little tide pools by the ocean. We all piled into the back of 2 hiluxes (just trucks with benches) and all rode over together. After the baptisms were over we had a big ward activity at the beach which was so fun. I am so blessed to live and serve here. God is so good.
Yesterday it was Sister Cluffs birthday so we planned this biggggg giant FHE (party) for her with all of our friends. I made a cake and almost had a mental breakdown because our oven was made in the 1400s but!! It all turned out thank goodness and everybody loved it. While I was making the cake I was singing Bad Habit and Sister Cluff didn't even know what song it was hahah so that was weird.
We didn't have running water pretty much this whole week except for an hour or so during random days of the week so every time we found out the water was on our adrenaline kicked in and we went crazy cleaning the house doing dishes and laundry and filling up our water barrel. Because of our water issue, we've been looking for a new house! My years of watching HGTV in my moms bedroom have finally paid off. It's kind of hard to do around here because there's no signs in anyone's front yards saying their house is for sale. Probably because there are no front yards. And every house has about 10 different houses within the one house. We had a senior elder help us look for a house so we got to take a nice little tour the other night and then we're looking at another one tonight so let's pray for a house with water!
WE HAD 11 OF OUR FRIENDS COME TO CHURCH YESTERDAY

Me and Sister Cluff almost shed tears we were so happy. God may not give us water but our area is progressing like craaazzy so I'll take it. I am so in love with Tarrafal everyday feels like I'm on vacation. The longer I'm here, the more fun it gets. I've made so many friends here and I'm finally getting familiar with the area and where people live AH I JUST LOVE IT!!!!!! Missions are so FUN!!

Missions are so FUN!!We went out to eat on Saturday and got fresh juice and crepes again (Kaden and Ben you know how happy I was) and the dessert crepes were only 3 DOLLARS. The crepes at the Polynesian cultural center could never. Anyway that had to be the highlight of my week.
Portuguese is coming along and when we met our Brazilian neighbor the other day he was shocked with how much I knew so that was lit but I was quickly humbled later when I was praying for us to use time wisely but I actually asked God to help us use time with the priesthood. Works for me!
Anyway I just love Cabo Verde and the people here. They are so amazing and everyday I'm just in awe of how beautiful it is. I'm trying to soak it all up before God decides to do a little switch up on me so until then, I'll just keep living it up!!
